Surah Al Falaq (The Daybreak)

1. Say! I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak

2. From the evil of that which he has created

3. And from the evil of the darkness as it overspreads

4. And from the evil of the women who blow on the knots

5. And from the envious one when he practices envy

Surah An-Nas (Mankind)

1. Say! I seek refuge with the Lord of Mankind

2. The King of Mankind.

3. The God of Mankind.

4. From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws

5.Who whispers in the breasts of mankind?

 6. Among jinn and man

*In Sahih, muslim recorded on the authority of Uqbah bin Amir (R.A.) that the messenger of Allah (saw) said, "Do you not see that there have been Ayat revealed to me tonight, the like of which has not been seen before?" They are Surah Al Falaq & Surah An-Nas." (Ahmad, Tirmidhi, An-Nasai)

*Imam Malik recorded from Aisha (R.A.), that if the Prophet (saw) was suffering from an ailment and the pains were severe, she would recite these Surahs over him and take his hands and pass it over himself seeking the blessings of these two Surahs. (Al Bukhari, Abu Daud, An-Nasai & ibn majah also recorded this hadith)
