“What Is This Religion?"
(Does anyone know anymore?)
While Islam maybe the second largest religion in the world, as well as the fastest growing, it is also one of the most misunderstood religions in existence! It has been called names such as: terrorist, violent, oppressive, and fanatical (extreme). People have even gone as far as calling it ‘Satanic’. Let us here at ‘Concerned Youths’, help you to better understand this simple and divine religion. Below is basic summary of the religion:-
*Who is ALLAH?
Allah is the one who created us and the entire universe! He is the best of planners; the Wise and the Merciful.
*Who is the Rasool?
Prophet Muhammad (Upon Whom Be Peace).
*Who or what is a Rasool?
A Rasool is he whom Allah sent for the guidance of his servants (mankind).
*What is Imaan?
Imaan means to believe firmly that all which the Rasool brought from Allah is true and without any doubt, and to testify this with the tongue!
*What is this beautiful religion?
None other than Islam...the religion of the Muslims...
*Who was Jesus?
Like Muhammad (Upon Whom Be Peace), Jesus was a Prophet. Jesus never referred to himself as a God even in the Bible! He was not crucified according to Islam!
*What is the Qur’an?
This is the book of the Muslims; The Word of Allah (swt). It was revealed to the Rasool by Angel Gabriel.
We need to understand, that a large part of Islam is about social service and not just individual piety. Do not swallow the knowledge given to you. Do not only try to better yourselves. Help others! Spread Islam!
We must teach even if we know only one Surah, one law (Islamic Shariah) or even just the Arabic alphabet!
Da'wah is to invite mankind to this deen of Allah (swt) and believe it or not, 'Millions' out there are searching for the truth, but unfortunately they have no guidance...
As a form of reassurance, always keep in mind this Hadith:-
"If Allah were to guide someone through you (your effort) it would be better for you than to have the best of camels."
· Camels were one of the most prized and favoured possessions in the time of the Rasool. Therefore in this case, 'camels' is merely another word for 'the thing that is most precious and dear to us'. For example; money, cars, jewellery, family, etc
"May Allah (swt) bless you for your efforts!"
(Jaza Kallah for your time...)
